How to make simple changes to your WordPress website with Divi Page Builder.

Here's how to make simple changes to your WordPress website using the Divi Page Builder

Step 1 - Navigate to the Pages page on your WordPress website

Step 2 - Select the page you would like to edit

Hover over the page you would like to edit and click the Edit with Divi link.

Step 3 - Making text edits

To make simple text edits, click on the text element you want to edit. Then you can type new text or remove text just like any text editor.

For more complex text edits, e.g. font colour and size, click on the element and click on the cog in the small menu that appears.

This opens the module menu, here you can make more complex adjustments, this applies to other modules like buttons.

Before making complex changes we suggest reading the Divi getting started documentation here: https://www.elegantthemes.com/documentation/divi/visual-builder/.

Step 4 - Changing Images

To change an image, click the image then open the module settings by clicking the cog icon in the menu that appears.

Click on the image in the module settings to open up the website's media library.

You can upload new images to the website by dragging and dropping images from your computer directly into the media library.
Please make sure that images are optimised before uploading!
The ideal file size for an optimised image is around 300kb.
There are many resources online that can help you optimise images e.g. we use https://squoosh.app/

Select the image you would like to use then click Upload an Image.

Once done you will see the image has changed in the module. Click the save the change and close the module.

Step 5 - Changing backgrounds

Click on the section that you want to edit the background on and open the settings by clicking the cog icon.

Navigate to the background dropdown.

Here you can adjust the background colour or add a background image by navigating to the image tab within the background dropdown. Follow the same process above in Step 4 - Adding Images to add a background image.

Step 6 - Publishing your changes

To publish your changes, at the bottom of the screen you will see this purple icon.

Click the icon to open up the page menu. At the bottom right you will see the save button, click this to publish the changes you have made.
